When the registry syncs, the matching engine compares each entry against the rest of the catalog and flags potential overlap. Approve a real match or Reject a false positive — either decision is remembered, and the matcher will never re-propose the same pair. Pending matches re-derive on every sync; reviewed pairs are preserved untouched.

Match types:

• duplicate Identical content hash. Same skill ingested under different sources.
• new_version Same slug under a different skill_id — likely a re-import.
• similar Keyword overlap above threshold. You decide if they should consolidate.
